2003 grand am Misfire cylinder 3

Question

I've changed 1 ignition coil pack. Still hard to start gotta hit the gas for it to start and it idles rough. It kills from time to time with the smell of fumes following

Mechanical condition has to be ruled out, .one cylinder that is misfiring will not cause the engine to die out, a compression test should be performed
