Per another answer (not above): Should I try to change the FRP sensor first? The shop could not replicate the car dying during acceleration so I picked car up and it hasn't done it in 3 trips around town but both check engine and emission lights still on.

Hi there,

Replacing the sensor is the best first step. There could also be an issue with the fuel pump itself, but that will usually always be a problem. The FRPS could be the issue if it stops sending the signal to the computer.
