Is it possible to test a catalytic converter? for a 1999 Mazda Protege?

Yes it is , if you have a scan tool that reads graphing data or just data , on Sensor 2 which is the downstream 02 sensor , a good catalytic convertor would be above .650 ml volts. or would above there more than it would be below 650 ml volts
