How to perform crankshaft position (CKP) system variation learn procedure with a scan tool.
The truck engine cranks but does not start

P0315 Crankshaft position variation not learned

The crankshaft variation relearn can only be performed on a running vehicle , this code is set when the engine is running, Use a scan tool with live data crank the engine and not the RPM you need to have more that 150 cranking RPM to 250 cranking RPM. Less than this you need to further inspect for a lack of RPM signal during cranking
