I'm just looking for some steps to check to fix this problem

HI there, 

The TCM is located inside the transmission on this model. Basically the computers are no longer communicating with each other via the lan circuit. All you can do here is check the resistance and continuity on the the solid blue and solid orange wires from on computer to the other. If the wiring is good, then it's likely one of the computers is at fault. Usually the tcm
