where is this sensor located,and how is it repaired?

In most cases, the DPFE sensor will need to be replaced to solve the issue. It's mounted to the tube that goes to the EGR valve. It's also possible the tube is blocked and causing the problem. Here is some more info on the code and there are some service bulletins as well.
