Question

I changed the alternator with a brand new one form advanced auto. kept the old battery because they said it was good and just needed to be charged. customer purchased the car and said it cut off and would not start back up. I had to jump it to get it started, while driving the speed odometer would jump up and down and the lights (brake light, battery light etc) would flash then a second later the car would go back to normal.

The TIPM (totally integrated power module) has to be reprogramed, It was once a Recall ,
