P0500 Lexus rx300

Question

This code showed up on my car when we did an OBD2 scan. Now I'm not sure if this is what's causing are car to act up but when I was on the freeway it felt like I lost all complete power to my transmission it wouldn't shift. And even now when I put it into Park the car will still roll I have to have the E-brake  on. Could this could be causing this problem with my car?

P0500 Vehicle speed sensor

If the vehicle roll when the selector is in Park, you obviously not in Park, that  or internal mechanical problem with the transmission not having a Park gear resolving the speed sensor code will not resolve the condition the vehicle has, this is more a mechanical problem with the transmission
