Hello, I have the codes for multiple misfires (P0300) and a knock sensor (P0325) that are re-occurring in the vehicle. I was driving and the car would shake violently when accelerating (45 mph). Got the codes read and saw they were the P0300 and P0325. I take it to a mechanic who changes the spark plugs, spark wires, distributor cap, and distributor rotor. All seems fine and dandy until driving it roughly 60 miles later on the highway when the shaking begins, but a lot less severe or frequently. I begin driving on the highway again when it starts to get worse. I pull off to get the codes read again, same codes as before. I have the codes cleared, buy fuel injector fluid on a full tank, drive it another 30 miles when it happens again, same codes. There isn't any noise, just shaking when accelerating or decelerating.

HI there,

The code P0300 is for multi cylinder misfires. This does suit what you have happening here. The P0325 code is for the knock sensor. This code won't even turn the light on.

I would check the engine timing and fuel pressure with this type of problem. Sometimes this issue can also be the result of a plugged up catalytic converter.
