On my 2006 Lincoln Mart LT 5.4   4wd
IMRCV butterfly valve is it opened proportionally or is it On or Off operation? If the position sensors are in the IMRCV,
What would happen if the Butterfly valve were always open and the Actuator arms were not connected to the butterfly valves? Would the engine still run correctly and would it allow for better full throttle performance? Would it hurt the engine or performance?
Vehicle: 2006, Lincoln. Mark LT, 5.4

Intake manifold runner control if the linkage where out the IMRC would be in the closed position. If this was stuck in the open position you set a lean code condition for one or both sides of the Bank P0171, P0174 . Some vehicle owners do not notice any different in performance. Having the IMRC does good for performance at all range. Not having a operational IMRC you have the CK ENG LT.
