Toyota, tundra, 2003 code 2118

Question

boosted vehicle ,after start let truck idle for 1/2 hour ,engine surge while idling + - 500 rpm engine light on. OBD code 2118 tried erase code and let truck set, battery volt @12.38, Engine light keeps coming on. No throttle response idle @ 1000 rpm

Hi there,

Check the ECTS fuse in the fuse box under the hood. It may have blown when you jump started the truck. This is the main power source for the throttle which is why you don't have any throttle response. If the fuse is good then you need to check the wiring.You could have damaged the ecm as well when jumping the truck.
