how to fix p0345 that continues to pop up

my 2004 ford f150 5.4l 3 valve engine continues to give code p0345 even after changing camshaft sensor. at first it runs great then soon after test driving the truck runs rough and knocks excessively. Does anyone have an idea what may be going wrong? Change spark plugs, cam sensors and fuel  injectors.

Hi there,

When it begins to run rough I would check the engine compression. You may have an issue with the timing chain. Possibly the tensioners become weak because of low oil pressure. This may be causing an issue with the timing chain that is causing the cam sensor codes.
