1995 PONTIAC SUNFIRE - Trouble Code 27. Pre OBD II. What will fix this problem?

This code will turn on the Check ENG. light, then it will clear itself.  I have replaced the EGR Solenoid and the EGR Valve.  No change in the trouble code.  Any suggestions or help appreciated.

Not only does the quad  driver module control the EGR solenoid it also control the purge solenoid, and the TCC , because you have a manual transmission , you only have to worry about the EGR and  the purge solenoid. Replace the purge solenoid, when ever code 27 set the cooling fans come on,
