P0442 Evaporative emission system small leak detected

This code is for the EVAP system , what the EVAP does is trap raw fuel in the charcoal canister and prevent it from escaping into the atmosphere.

​ The purge valve hose is important, a ruptured hose will not allow for proper vacuum decay , that will bring the FTP (fuel tank pressure) sensor to its specified value. In most cases the FTP was the cause for evap codes.
