I'm getting a P1564 code on my 05 Altima. Wondering about R &R and diagnosing.

Hi there,

To replace the switch you will have to remove the steering wheel, then remove the trim and unscrew the switch. To test the switch you need a volt meter set to ohms, then connect to both pins on the switch. When you push the switch there should be continuity. One hint, if the air bag light is on it's likely a problem with the spiral cable and not the switch.
