Would you replace transmission if LS 430 Lexus with 150K miles had codes P0751 & P2757

My dealer replaced transmission because of it stalled, had check engine licit, VSC error and OBD2 codes P0751 and P2757.  My local mechanic, who is terrific, had just serviced it 1 week before and is questioning that it should have been done.
Vehicle: 2005 LS430, V8
