po315 code

Question

I have this po315 code pop up on my Pontiac grand prix gxp v8 5.3 but the car runs n starts fine but I can't delete the code it comes right back any help?

P0315 Crankshaft position system variation not learned

This code condition is a type A code, this mean it will code right away , you would need a scan tool for the CKP to learn its variation value, this type of code condition may take up to 5 CKP relearn variation, if it keeps refusing to learn its variation the ECM is faulty
