New Battery, New rebuild alt. System does not charge right a way, when it does it shows by external volt meter output is around 13.5 volts. Dash light comes on still shows battery.

HI there

This might be the result of a bad PCM on the truck. It could also be that it needs at least 14.2 volts under load at idle to be putting out enough voltage.The voltage you are showing is a bit low.
