Recently received code P0009 on my 2010 Traverse. I heard there was a recall for this but can't find anything on it. GM says they are not aware of this issue for my motor. I am trying to find out what the fix is and what the cost might be if in fact GM doesn't cover this problem which from everything I can find says it is a known issue. Any knowledge on this subject would be appreciated.

P0009 Engine position performance Bank 2

This is a known issue , and this is usually with the timing chain, If you have both left and right Bank set a code condition, But if it is just on one side on the Bank, this more a camshaft actuator solenoid.  If the cam sensor was faulty .The ECM would see a fault with the camshaft position sensor, unfortunately with the code that is set the ECM see both the camshaft position sensor and the crankshaft position sensor, and see these sensor as not being aligned where it is suppose to be at. You can do the camshaft position solenoid on Bank 2
