P0128 Chevrolet - could thermostat be installed upside down?

My last Camaro, we found that the code was thrown cuz the thermostat was installed upside down..   could this be the same thing also??
Vehicle: 2002, Chevy, Camaro, 3.6 v6

P0128 coolant temperature below temp.

This mean it is stuck open,
