My car has the service engine light on and the idle is wandering from 1000-1800 rpm.

The P0507 code is set because the idle is too high, and is not the cause of the problem. You could start by cleaning the throttle body and disconnect the car battery for about 30 minutes to reset the systems. If the problem persist, you may have to replace the throttle body to fix the problem.
