P0522 Chevrolet -

Question

Fault codes P0521 (oil pressure switch fault) and P0522 (oil pressure switch circuit.  Engine Service Light is on the the oil pressure gauge is not operating properly, jumps up and down.
Is this vehicle safe to drive (locally)  until I get the money to fix this?  Was quoted approximately $422.00 (most of which is for labor).

P0521 Engine oil pressure sensor performance

P0522 Engine oil pressure sensor circuit low voltage

This is true just to replace the EOP is more labor as the intake manifold has to be removed,  Circuit low code P0522 this could just be a faulty oil pressure sensor the worse would be the ECM. depending on how the engine sound like , this needs to be physically heard, it better you would wait and have it repaired,
