2006 ford f-150 code p300 shows on code reader. what does this mean

truck starts hard at times.check engine light on.-code reader says p300 -engine missfire occuring.

The code is for multiple misfires. This is the trickiest of all the misfire codes because it means that more then one cylinder has a problem. This can be caused by a lot of different things. Most common would be a bad mass air flow sensor, low fuel pressure or an intake manifold leak.
