4.8 chevy code po305 truck runs good no problems code came on after i put a new locking gas cap and fuel injector cleaner

i do need a fuel sending unit gas reads low fuel most of the time
even when fool of gas truck does run real good

This code is for a cylinder 5 misfire. A lot of time when the engine seems to be performing well and you have the code it's due to a faulty ignition coil. The gas cap doesn't have anything to do with the code.
