how do I replace these items/ or could it be a tank full of bad gas/ it happened right after a fill-up.

Hi there,

If there is a code for the vent control valve, then the charcoal canister under the vehicle must be replaced. The code didn't appear due to bad fuel in the tank. This appears when the canister won't vent properly. This could happen when you fill the tank as the fuel vapors go from the tank to the canister.
