2004 chevy monte carlo 3.4 v6 with a code of P1819. what could be wrong? what should I check?

car runs ok.  my code scanner gives me a trouble code of P1819 and my scanner will not communicate with the car and clear the code.  scanner says error in communicating.   what could be wrong and what should I check?

Scan tool not communicating check the fuse , the fuse location should be the left side of I/P listed as  CLSTR / BCM,  and the cigarette lighter fuse located on the right side of the I/P. then recheck for communication with the ECM.  P1819 is usually the switch with the with the transmission if not the connector.
