My vehicle failed inspection and the code is C1221 (Description Not Found). What could it be and how can I fix it?

C1221 Left front wheel speed sensor circuit malfunction

This is for the wheel speed sensor that is needed for ABS operation. The wheel speed sensor for this code is the left front wheel.
