P0171 2008 Nissan Rogue -

Question

We replaced the fuel pump then got the code po171, the starts but only stays running for about a minute and then dies out and then it is hard to start and still does same thing after we get it restarted.

Hi Linda,

Many times the lean code is caused by a faulty mass air flow senor. Try unplugging the sensor and see if the car will start and idle on it's own. If it will, go ahead and replace the mass air flow sensor and it should resolve the problem. This is the sensor mounted to the air filter housing.
