recalls P0011 2002 Nissan Altima Sedan -

Question

A butter knife I used to use to set a combustion engine's timing....
   So in modern lingo...
  Error code cross linked the read outs as code # p0011 could be cam. or crank sensor yet this model points (readout p0011 as IVT. ...
   So was the recall effective at repairing the recalls for this altima my son ownes . campaign # 07v527000 & 06v223
 Read reprogramming ecm was the attempted fix.
   Overheating problems i'v read ... Altima had new head gasket... Coolant fluid evaporating due ecm's advancing timing ( running hot ) ????? Coolant very low oil also low no visable leaks or cross fluid mix

P0011 IVT control

This code is for the intake valve timing  control solenoid valve

This is a straight forward code condition with the intake solenoid valve. what happens when you get this code the signal is there the valve just doesn't function
