2013 Chevrolet Sonic 1.8L with P0496 engine code

After refueling the car hesitates to start. Have to try to to start it numerous times and when it does, I have to keep my foot on the pedal.

The code is actually for purge flow when the engine isn't running. Basically the purge control solenoid is stuck open. So, when you fill the car with gas, the fuel vapors are going into the intake manifold. When this happens you are basically flooding the engine. This is why the car is hard to start.
