I have a 2005 Ford Escape 3.0L with engine code P1405 and will not pass 2000 rpm, no power

Hi there,

The code is for the DPFE sensor on the egr, This may be there if your catalytic converter is blocked, which would also cause the low power and not being able to accelerate past the 2000 rpm mark. I would drop the exhaust and look for a melted or broken converter.
