I got the engine code P1515 on my 2005 BMW 325xi. I was told to check the "CAN Signal"? Can you tell me what this is? Is there another possible problem?

Begin by inspecting the car battery. Using the wrong type or size of battery, or having a low battery charge, can trigger this code. It is advisable to use a factory-recommended battery size for replacements. You can find more information about the code on the following link:

P1515 Engine off timer

This code is for the coolant temperature sensor, this is the timer the engine off timer. If the cooling system is just plain water you can surely expect this type of code to set.
