P0404 Chrysler - pending code of po402 is coming up as well

Question

changed the EGR valve then a month later the code came up again with a pending code as well. I'm getting really crappy gas mileage now and sometimes have to turn the key twice before it starts.

P0402 EGR flow excessive

You can remove the EGR valve and clean out any carbon that may have build up in the valve area , then do a top engine clean to remove any carbon build up.
