P0715 Ford - Does it mean transmission bad?

Code occurred while test drving. They agreed to replace sensor. Is that a bad sign for the transmission - 132K miles?

Most often the speed sensor is the issue or the harness and not the transmission itself. This doesn't mean there isn't any chance the transmission is bad, but usually it's the external sensor causing the code to appear. Here is some more info
