P0730 - Intermittent shift problems with a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx V-6

Question

It comes & goes; sometimes the engine light comes on & sometimes, goes off, but does not always come on when experiencing the shifting problem. It can then run fine for a long time. Also got a p0107 engine code. Are these related, & if so where do I start? Should I take to a transmission shop or replace the MAPS sensor?

P0730 Transmission gear ratio error

P0107 Manifold absolute pressure circuit low input

A intermittent gear ratio are mostly caused by a intermittent input speed sensor  and or output speed sensor,  The speed sensor does not have to set a code for a intermittent shift, Having a MAP sensor low input would also set a gear ratio error, Start with the MAP sensor
