This code will set with a P1014, and yes the light will come on and off , mostly during cold start up with a intermittent miss on the engine. The first check to resolve this code is check the oil filter or change the oil filter and oil. this should be the first step then retest for the code, if the code returns you would need the camshaft actuator solenoid.

 Here a oil filter damage would set P1017.
