1998 Nissan 200sx with a code reading of P0440... because of service engine soon light coming on.. What does this mean and how is it repaired??

This code is sort of a catch all code with no specific repair. The computer knows there is an issue, but doesn't know where. If you have another evap code, that would be the one to go after first. Here is a list of possible causes for the 440 code.
