For over a year I have been trying to find what's wrong with my truck O'Reilly checks charging sells me Battery then checks says I now need new alternator mechanic puts in 2 alternator from Auto Zone still over charging Autozone checks put in 3 alternators it's still overcharging ck all connections put new plug to alternator .
Oreilys says regulator wide open . I have read and read over & over finally a video how to check your own codes yourself these codes came up P0622-P1594-P1682. Now I hope this is the answer .....Autozone & O'Reilly Never ever check for these codes..I'm so disappointed in our Auto Repair no one seems to Know there business at the Auto Parts store. I'm a Disabled Senior on Social Security with Congested Heart failure needing my vehicle. Help !!!!! Thank you!!!!

P0622 Generator field not switching properly

P1594 Charging system voltage too high

P1682 Charging system voltage too low

Over charging condition,This is with the EVR (electronic voltage regulator) located in the PCM, when you get these code and to resolve the charging system the PCM would need to be replaced, inside the PCM is the EVR which is a non serviceable component
