How would I diagnose or check to see if my sensor has gone bad? And if I replace the sensor, am I better off replacing the fuel pump at the same time

P0193 Fuel rail pressure sensor circuit high

When it comes to a P0193 this is for the fuel rail pressure sensor. P0193 the ECM does not see the FRPS feedback, it gives it its reference voltage but gets no feedback from the FRPS. Without this sensor you can expect sudden stalling during acceleration. The way the FRPS works is it gives more voltage to the fuel pump as fuel load demands are needed.
