On this year make and model you sure can clean the MAF sensor. The reason for the MAF cleaning is due to the airfilter , any manufacture who produces airfilter has to use a fire retardant on the air filter, this is due to the lean running condition that the engine management. so if there is ever a back fire the airfilter will not catch on fire, the negative side of this is it coats the MAF which make the MAF report false air intake amount.
