P0141 Honda - cr-v

Question

Okay so I'm driving a 98 Honda CRV and my check engine light is on for code p0141 so when I'm driving it it doesn't want to shift gears plus I'm starting to smell gas this is the only code that came up

Hi there,

If you are having a shifting issue then the transmission control module needs to be scanned for codes. Most OBDII code readers will not do this. As for the code, this is for the primary heated O2 sensor. In this case it's the first O2 sensor on the exhaust system. In most cases replacing the sensor resolves the problem.
