2008 Ford Focus 1.8L TDCI with code C1956. Could anybody tell me what I need to change to cure this problem?

The C1956 code indicates that there is an issue with the Steering Angle Sensor. The sensor is behind the steering wheel, also called Clock Spring. Sometimes this code will be set if the vehicle needs a wheel alignment or after a wheel alignment was performed.
