2014 mazda CX-5 engine code p011A

Question

My check engine light came on so I checked it with my code reader. The code is P011A Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor 1/2. After some searching I went ahead and replaced the coolant temperature sensor. After replacing it, I cleared the code. Almost 2 weeks later the check engine light came back and it has the same code appear. How can I pinpoint the problem? Is it most likely the thermostat?
