P2610 - What does this code mean and is it ok to drive the vehicle with this problem?

Question

The glow plug light just started taking a minute or so to go off and now I have a DTC P2610.
I have a PPE programmer set on the tow tune, but I have driven it like that for years without getting this DTC.

This code is for the ecm internal off engine timer. This condition is normally a problem with the ecm itself. If it will run you can drive it without damage. You should also contact the dealer to check for updates and bulletins for this code.
