po500 2005 Tacoma v6 4x4 what are most likely cause? Code goes and comes without being reset with scanner.

If the code condition comes and goes without being reset check the connection of the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) a open circuit would this , either at the VSS or the sensor itself.
