Code P0087 occured what step by step should I check before replace high preasure pump thanks

Hi there

I would start with checking the fuel pressure. Don't replace the pump unless the fuel pressure is low. If you can't check it, then have it tested.You could have other issues, plugged fuel filter or possibly some issue with the fuel pressure regulator. Here is some more info
