how can I adjust the park nuetral position switch on my saturn sc2/

Question

My service engine soon light sporadicly comes on and off. When I ran my code tester it comes up with the code 0708 which has something to do with the park/nuetral switch being to high. Can I adjust this myself? I just tried to have my car smogged and it failed because of this. When I take it to my mechanic the light is not on.
