My Hyundai santa fe randomly died on me while on the freeway. It turns over but will not start again. I was informed it was my crankshaft sensor. I did not know there was a timing and misfire crankshaft sensor when I went to order the part. Is there a way to know which one it is without getting a diagnostic done?

Vehicle: 2003 hyundai santa fe 2.4

Hi there,

Assuming the code is P0335 the issue is the crank sensor. This is the sensor located under the timing cover mounted to the engine block. No other sensor. P0355 is not a valid code.
