I just bought this vehicle and this code is on it.. It hasn't ran hot or anything but does make a rough sound every few miles like running over a rough patch in road. Could this be due to that code or possibly the transmission? Also can you tell me what the other tags mean?

Hi there,

This code points towards an issue with the low coast brake solenoid. This could be caused by low transmission fluid. Here is some more info for you.

The code 7E9 is not an OBDII code. When the OBDII scanner plugs in your vehicle, the OBDII scanner gets the 7E9 ($7E9) code from the ECM. The code is a menu of systems that the OBDII scanner can access. OBDII scanner interprets the code and displays the menu. Some scanners can't solve these codes and show the codes instead of the interpretation. Clicking on the code menu will read the OBDII codes (e.g. P0420 or P0455), if any, from that system.

Menu Code 7E8 ($7E8): Engine System

Menu Code 7E9 ($7E9): Transmission System

Menu Code 7EA ($7EA): Engine Management
