my 2005 Nissan Frontier pick up serve engine light on, got it scanned and got a P1774 code. According to Auto Zone, it is Low Coast Brake Solenoid valve malfunctioned. Well, what/where is the Low Coast Brake Solenoid valve? How is it affect the performance of the car? Drove it, did not seems to have any effect of the brake of performance. If needs to replace that valve, can I get it from part store instead of dealership? How much would it cost and where is it located so that I can remove the bad one and install the new one if I can get it?

Vehicle: 2005 Nissan Frontier 4.0L V6

The Low Coast Brake Valve is inside the transmission and the factory recommends replacing the entire valve body the there is a problem with the valve. The Valve Body is also inside the transmission and it's a very expensive and complicated repair. If there is no driveability problems with your Frontier, you should just clear the code. If the problem persist you should have a transmission specialist check it for you.
